U.S. News and World Report names Natchitoches as a top retirement destination
NATCHITOCHES – Natchitoches has been named as one of the top 10 bargain places to retire in the United States in a report just released by U.S. News and World Report.
Natchitoches was featured in the magazine’s 2007 annual retirement guide. U.S. News & World Report consulted with retirement experts and discovered 10 “low-cost gems” that were deemed as best bargain retirement spots. These
areas were selected because they each offer good value in retirement living, according to information provided by the magazine.
Other areas included in the top 10 list were: Boone, N.C.; Dahlonega, Ga.; Fredericksburg, Texas; Kennebunk, Maine; Melbourne Beach, Fla.; Salida, Colo.; Sandpoint, Idaho; Yucca Valley, Calif. and Yuma, Ariz.
