Adai Caddo Indian Pow Wow October 20

NATCHITOCHES, LOUISIANA …  In memory of their forefathers the American-Indian traditions of West-Central Louisiana with the Adai Caddo Indian community will celebrate their heritage during the 22nd annual Pow Wow.

The Pow Wow will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Adai Caddo Indian  Nation Cultural Center.  The gates open at 9 a.m. with the opening ceremony and grand entry scheduled for 10:30 a.m.  Activities will continue until 4 p.m.  The Center is located about six miles north of Robeline, La at 4460 Highway 485.

Attractions will include traditional Indian dances, drums, food, and much more! Special guests include visitors from tribes in Oklahoma and Texas.  LaRay Guerrero of the Apache/Saponi Tribe of Dallas, Texas will be the master of ceremonies.

Admission is free and the public is invited to celebrate. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the festivities.  Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

The Adai Indian National Cultural Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
