NATCHITOCHES, LA – Vendors, of various kinds, are needed for several upcoming events in Natchitoches!

Melrose Plantation Arts & Crafts Festival Vendor Application Deadline: March 22, 2013

Vendors are invited to display and sell their original, creative items at the 39th annual Melrose Arts and Crafts Festival this spring. 

The premier event will be held on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14, 2013 on the grounds of historic Melrose Plantation, located 15 miles south of Natchitoches.

The event features quality hand-crafted items such as pottery, jewelry, baskets, original works of art and fine foods from homemade recipes. More than one-hundred artists and craftsmen travel from several states to Melrose to display their work for sale to the public.

The festival brings in nearly 5000 tourists over the two-day event. Festival Director Adam Forman said the annual event is recognized as one of the oldest and longest running arts and crafts festival in Louisiana.

The Natchitoches Main Street Program is seeking vendors for Bloomin' on the Bricks, scheduled for Saturday, March 23 in downtown Natchitoches.

The day-long event is a celebration of spring in downtown Natchitoches and will feature a vendor's area where merchants will sell and display items related to garden and lawn care such as plants, trees, patio furniture, outdoor décor and more.

Vendor spaces for Bloomin' on the Bricks are available for $50 per each 10X10 area. Plant Societies or non-profit organizations may obtain a display space for $30. Applications are available on www.downtownnatchitoches.com and must be returned by Friday, March 15, 2013. All vendors for Bloomin' on the Bricks must have products related to lawn care, gardening or landscaping.

Cane River Green Market-Vendor Application Deadline: April 3, 2013

The Natchitoches Main Street Program is seeking vendors for the Cane River Green Market (CRGM).

Market vendors can include those who sell fresh fruits and vegetables; value added products such as farm fresh eggs, baked goods, jams, jellies, pickles, honey, fresh flowers, herbs, seasonings, and much more; and a limited amount of vendors who produce hand-crafted items such as jewelry, woodwork, and stained glass will be accepted.

The CRGM will kick off its 2013 season on April 27 and will take place on Saturdays from 8a.m.- noon until July 27.

Those interested in becoming vendors at the CRGM are required to fill out an application and provide pictures. The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday, April 3, 2013. A selection committee determines the vendors who will be invited to attend the market. If selected as a vendor, you will be required to abide by market rules and regulations.
